King`s Wok Chinese Restaurant in Raleigh

I searched far and wide for a Chinese restaurant that serves crispy fried duck, and I finally stumbled across this place. It's a bit out of the way for me, but it's definitely worth the drive. The crispy duck is AMAZING! It comes with veges and a few Chinese pancakes (which are kind of like tortillas, but thinner), and a yummy brown dipping sauce. They do seem to be a little stingy with the condiments here (they guard the sauce packets, and only gave me 2 packets of soy sauce when I asked). I get it though...most people usually just grab a handful knowing they don't really need that many. It just caught me off guard more than anything.

Zero stars. Order food from anywhere else, but not here. You deserve better. Think "bad chinese takeout" and then understand that this is worse than you imagined.Name should be changed, because this place is an insult to the nice people who used to own it. Because it is right outside my neighborhood, I've given several "extra" chances, but it gets worse every time. Tonight was The End, for sure.You can help to close this dump by avoiding it!

I can't believe I just wasted 11.80 I highly don't recommend this place I came there 2 try something different meaning different Chinese restaurant.. ordered chicken wings and beef noodles and the chicken wings were just breading no meat literally I mean u guys need 2 stop cheating customers out of their money ..how can u get full off of chicken wings just breading slimey meat I will never go 2 this place again... PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID 😡 AND IF U ARE LIKE ME I DO NOT LIKE WASTING MONEY !!!

Gone there for nearly 20 years and have never been disappointed.

The food tasted terrible the chicken was rubbery and not cooked. The rice was over cooked. I would give this 0 stars if I could this was disgusting. And the customer service was pitiful and the lady was rude and didn't listen. DONT ORDER FROM THIS DISGUSTING PLACE.

Food is awesome! Not greasy clumpy mess like a lot of takeout Chinese places...very reasonable prices and the takeout containers are awesome because they seperate the generous portions of main dish from the rice for you to mix later when you eat !! Best tasting egg rolls I've found!!!

The food tasted terrible the chicken was rubbery and undercooked. The customer service was pitiful I would rather eat trash then this food. Also the chicken wings were undercooked and disgusting. I would give this restaurant negative stars if I could.

My family has ordered from this restaurant for the 20+ years we have lived here. The food is always good. The service is always polite and helpful. The staff has learned who is ordering by what we request! I have even converted a few friends to themBest Chinese food. 10 outta 10. Would eat.

Kong's Wok is a favorite location for me to get lunch when in between jobs. I love the Vegetable Lo Mein! You should check them out too! The food is fast, hot and good! But they aren't open on Wednesdays. Great place to go!

I used to really like this place I really used to like the crispy duck and the combination fried rice but now for some reason they don't have the crispy duck anymore yet is still on the menu which kind of ticks me off because I really want it the combo fried rice was great now for some reason not so much I was a loyal customer but have switched to Wang's in lynnwood collection

Wow! On a whim, I ordered a Happy Family and Shrimp Fried Rice via Door Dash. First time customer. Food arrived piping hot, delicious and abundant. Takes me back 20 years to NYC Chinatown and some of the best Chinese food I've tasted.I don't know why the Door Dash rating for King's Work is 4.7 and Google is 3.3... *maybe* some hater-competitors out there? Y'think?

I have called there repeatedly and they keep hanging up! They answer, “King’s Wok, pick up or delivery,” and when I say delivery— they hung up!! Totally UNPROFESSIONAL staff working there. Should be SHUT DOWN!

So we went during Christmas, as is tradition for us. We have been here multiple times in the past and have never had an issue. It's pretty typical for Chinese food so you should know what to expect when going there. They are always nice to us whenever we order and we receive our food within a few minutes most of the time. I do recommend ordering ahead on big holidays since they tend to get a lot of attention this time of year

The Sesame Chicken is really quite awful. There's no veggies and the sauce is little more than ketchup. it's a shame, too because we're new to the area and do Chinese takeout frequently. It would be our #1 choice but, we'll probably never go back. The egg rolls were fine. Surprised to find shrimp in one; they might just be cleaning out the fridge into wonton wrap.

Always fast and fresh. I'VE been eating here for over 15 years. Very reasonably priced.

Amazing service, amazing food!

Their website States they deliver within 5 miles. Then the person the phone said they don't go past Lynn Rd the address I gave is on Lynn Rd. That's not smart to advertise where you deliver and you don't deliver there.

Ordered a large boneless spare rib for $11.85 and I got a few pieces of burnt pork. I drove back to the place and asked for a large, they told me that was a large. Any other Chinese takeout in raliegh would have been at least a quart sized container. At least they returned it for me. The egg rolls we ok.

Terrific Chinese delivery. Highly recommend the Aromatic Crispy Prawns and the Sauteed String Beans. The rolls (both the Spring and Egg) are terrific. Our go-to Chinese delivery for many years.

Food was overcooked to the point it couldn't be chewed. General Tso's chicken could have been good, but due to the huge rocks that were supposed to be chicken, most of it ended up in the garbage. Their lo mein is no better. Tasteless with no meat - all noodles. And they take over an hour to deliver 2 miles away.

This was our first and last time trying this place. We ordered online, showed up promptly when the website said our food would be done. Instead we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our takeout. My Sesame Chicken was ok flavor-wise, my fried rice was just rice (not a vegetable to be found) and the egg roll was unremarkable. Crab rangoon was also unremarkable and our Chicken Lo Mein was flavorless.

We have been eating Kings Wok for about 30 years. Loyal customers for a very long time. They recently stop delivering personally and went to Grub Hub. We ordered from there for the first time using Grub Hub, recently. When the food came 30 mins later than expected, I went through the food. They did NOT send ANY napkins, sauces or plasticware. NONE. Nothing. I called and told the Asian man who answered the phone. He said it was the Grub Hub drivers responsibility to bring the condiments etc, and that I should have made note of that when I ordered. They have ALWAYS sent those items automatically!!! I never had to make a note of it before!!! He was very RUDE and did not even seem to care. I spent about $40. You just lost a long time customer. I will not recommend Kings Wok to anyone I know. And I will NEVER order from Kings Wok again. There are plenty of chinese delivery places who will treat customers much better than this!!!! Never again!!!

BEWARE! We began to eat our meal and the food tasted terrible. Then I opened my spring roll bag and a small ROACH came out. Threw everything in the garbage where it belonged. Called the restaurant and told them what I had found and she insisted they did not have roaches. I SAW the bug come out with my own eyes. They Did not even offer to reimburse me for the meal.

Firts time i order food here and it's real bad. I try to eat it but i felt like throwing up. It is terrible. Never AGAIN

We don't do take out all that often, but for over 20 years King's Wok has been one of our "go to" places... always dependable. We do have to ask for extra veggies on the vegetable lo-mien, but other than that everything is plentiful and well seasoned.

I thought it was only me.. The girl up front was pretty nice and friendly.. But, the cook must go.. I went there for the first time yesterday and order shrimp & broccoli with garlic sauce. Food had no taste. It was no garlic sauce taste to it..was disappointed

My wife and I have ordered from this place for years and never had a bad experience. We searched Raleigh for a good hot and sour soup and Kings Wok has the best so far! They are flexible with orders if you want something more or less spicy than usual. Always hot, always fast delivery!

Despite the reviews I thought I’d give this place a try.... unfortunately I have to agree the chicken is rubbery & the chicken wings look like they came out of the frozen section at your local grocery store. But the service was decent 🤷🏾‍♀️ I won’t be back.

NASTY! I would've given them zero stars but Google wouldn't let me.I ordered lunch with a couple of coworkers only to find a ROACH in our sweet & sour sauce. YUCK!!! And to add insult to injury, when I called to inform the manager, her only response was "Oh". So of course I went right after work to get my refund only to receive an attitude from the lady behind the counter. I was nothing but nice to her. I had it in mind to not make a scene when i went in there but rather than an apology, her excuse was "I thought I strained that well enough". She slammed my money in my hand. She was rude, unapologetic, and simply lacked basic customer service skills. She then had the nerve to call me crazy because I refused to let her keep the delivery fee. SORRY IF I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR ROACHES BEING DELIVERED TO ME! Bottom line, DON'T EAT HERE!

Tonight my boyfriend and I ordered sesame beef and a couple egg rolls. First of all, I am highly allergic to shell fish and instead of a the normal egg roll that I ordered, I received a shrimp roll. And I'm now on my way to the ER because my throat is closing because I unknowingly ingested SHE'LL FISH. The doughnuts we ordered are horrible as well as the rest of the food. When ordering here, you have to ask a thousand and one questions to make sure you know exactly what you're getting for your money because these people clearly do not know how accurately explain their menu.

This place has gone downhill. The food is just garbage. General Tso’s is maybe 25% chicken with nasty fat/breading surrounding each piece. The chicken wings look and taste nasty. The broccoli and garlic sauce changed and is not good. I will never go back. The owners obviously do not care.

Ask for sesame chicken ended up with sweet and sour sauce chicken. No sesame seeds. Mostly bread with small pieces of rubbery chicken inside. It was not good. Will not return.

I got the Triple Delight with fried rice and egg roll. Fast wait time and food is some of the best I've tried around Raleigh as far as Chinese.

This is my favorite Chinese Restaurant! The freshest veggies and ingredients. The owners are extremely nice and care about their business.

I saw the ratings and read the reviews and looked for something with better reviews. Eventually, I came back because of the selections on the menu and thought I would give Kings's Wok a chance. I am very glad I did because it was very good. I ordered takeout late on a slow night and my meal was made with fresh ingredients. I will order takeout from here again. Not sure what the other reviews are about, competitors? Someone with a chip on their shoulder? I have no idea but what I do know is that they serve good food.

Ordered General Tso's. Lower quality chicken with lots of breading. Not very good. The egg roll on the other hand was fantastic. Would go again if I just want some egg rolls and lo mein but not for any chicken dish.

Food was horrible, I had ordered shrimp fried rice and sesame seed chicken and it take bitter and the rice is nasty only thing is a pack the rice with shrimp. Never going back to that place ever again.

They actually include egg in the fried rice, I think it's the best takeout in the neighborhood

This is one of my favorite take out/ delivery restaurants. I've relied on them for years especially for North Raleigh lunch. Fast, friendly service, ready for pick up in 10 minutes even at peak demand times. The food is really good, hot and a good value.

Service was good and fairly quick. It took about 15 min to get our food after placing our order. The chicken teriyaki skewers are where it's at. They were the best part of our meal. Entrees were meh. I got the cashew chicken combination plate, pretty bland not a whole lot of flavor to the chicken. Husband got Mongolian beef, he had the same feelings about the beef, not a lot of flavor and pretty bland. Also got the fried wontons, they were a little overly fried and difficult to eat. The eggrolls were alright. Overall paid too much for what we got, was expecting more flavor from a Chinese restaurant. But will definitely be back for the chicken teriyaki skewers!

The rice is more os a whitish color not yellow and its nasty. I ordered a large house fried rice. I threw the whole container away. Not going back.. was out all day w my daughter and wanted friend rice, ribs (made it myself as foodlion has it in sale 6 bucks a slab) and a cherry pepsi. Well KING WOK YOU FLOPPED and nobody like white fried rice. Now I see why you was quick to ask if I wanted sauce.. soy sauce cant save this..My daughter ordered something diff and she sid it was ok. Dont buy the rice alone!!!!

This place is so much better than you typical "Chinese" place. Everything I've ever ordered was delicious. Don't leave off the wonton soup!

My favorite takeout Chinese food in the area. We've been going here a couple years now. Tried a few different Chinese places, King's Wok is definitely the best. Big portions, good food, and reasonable prices.
